I watched Since You Went Away recently, and I really have to wonder how it managed all those Oscar nominations. Agnes Moorehead stole the film, though Colbert was pretty good.
I really hope Ingrid Bergman wins this, I liked Barbara Stanwyck but I really didn't think she was brilliant. What I really hope for is that you enjoy Bette Davis' underrated performance in Mr. Skeffington, Garson will probably be last.
My prediction:
1. Ingrid Bergman. 2. Barbara Stanwyck. 3. Bette Davis. 4. Claudette Colbert. 5. Greer Garson.
They are all good, I think. Garsonis delicious in her part. I really love the "tour de force" of Bergman, Stanwyck is terrific, Davis very funny(in the good way)and Colbert gives a lovely performance, as usual.

ReplyDeleteStanwyck will probably take this.
Let's hope Stanwyck takes it...
ReplyDeleteMy pick is obviously Barbara but I'm hoping for a win by Ingrid because I want to see somebody write nicely about Ingrid. :)
